Last week, members of the 2nd Chance Trail Ride Society—Morris, Arla, Denise, and Albert—had the privilege of attending the Town of Bruderheim’s Volunteer Appreciation Night. It was an evening filled with gratitude, connection, and community spirit, and we were truly honored to be part of it.

A heartfelt thank you to the Bruderheim Lions Club, who generously donated $1,000 to support the work of our organization. Their support is a powerful reminder that small communities can make a big impact, especially when we come together for a cause that touches so many lives.

During the event, Morris took the stage to speak to the crowd about the affordable housing program that the 2nd Chance Trail Ride Society fundraises for. This program is a vital part of our work, helping transplant recipients and their families through the challenges that come with life-saving medical journeys. Morris also gave a moving thank-you to his donor’s family, recognizing the incredible gift of life that made his second chance possible.

Arla spoke with heartfelt conviction about the core of our mission: to spread awareness about organ and tissue donation. She reminded everyone that conversations can save lives—and the more we talk about donation, the more chances we create for others.

It was a powerful evening celebrating those who give so much of themselves to make our communities stronger. We’re incredibly grateful to the Town of Bruderheim, the Lions Club, and all those who continue to support our mission of hope, healing, and second chances.

💚 Together, we ride for a reason.
